Thursday Night Football (NCAA & NFL)

College Football

West Virginia @ Virginia Tech

Pick: West Virginia -2 (-110)

I like the Mountaineers tonight going on the road to hostile Lane Stadium up in Blacksburg, VA. Although there will be alot of noise tonight from the home team, I expect West Virginia to travel well like that always do. Both of these teams had some bad starts to the season but I'm here to argue one isn't near as bad as the other. Yes West Virginia started 0-2 but listen, they lost on the road at Pitt in a hostile environment where they actually should have won if not for the circus Pick 6 Pitt had late in that game. Kansas has proven that they are not the Kansas of old and that they are a solid football team that can win games. I expect WVU to feel experienced in this wild atmosphere and to take some momentum from demolishing Towson last week. I also expect Virginia Tech to continue to struggle to move the football as they have proven is a tough task for them. Give me WVU to win on the road 27-21.

NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns

Pick: Cleveland Browns -4.5 (-110)

This pick is going against all of the trends where Mike Tomlin owns the browns and Kevin Stefanski cant cover a spread to save his life against a divisional opponent... I do know these trends. I'm still taking the browns here on Thursday night in the dawg pound. I get the better offense and the better defense in the matchup. TJ Watt not being there is eventually going to catch up to them on the defense. He makes so many big plays that can swing a game and fortunately for out bet, he is out. I like the browns running game so far with Chubb and Hunt being a 2 headed monster. I think they are pissed off after a brutal beat last week at home to the Jets. The Steelers showed us a lot of problems they have on offense last week losing at home to the patriots. Give me the browns tonight in a 20-12 win.

NFL Prop Bet

Pick: Cade York Ov 6.5 points (-110)

I expect the Steelers to play a bend but don't break defense tonight to and try and make the browns defense settle for FG opportunity's instead on TD's. I expect 2 FG's and 2 XP's from out guy Cade York tonight. Take the over.
